COVID-19: the low down from the Doc
Jean-Philippe Gilardi, head of club's medical service, spoke at a press conference on the management of Covid 19 at OGC Nice: "We are taking measures to protect the players. The training centre is closed, this concerns all the youngsters, the staff and the supervising personnel. A certain number of the club's employees work remotely and we have forbidden people from outside the training centre entering."
"The training sessions of the professional squad are maintained. We continue to work and supervise the players on a daily basis. On the other hand, we have decided to limit their visits to the club to 3 times a week. We are also applying the barrier measures that the players have been reminded of. We also have the possibility to go to the players' homes in case of symptoms. In medicine, we talk about the benefit-risk balance and, for the moment, there are more benefits to continuing training than risks of contamination. We had already taken measures during competition. Now that they are suspended, we are adapting to the day-to-day situation.”
